We believe the future of education will be defined by how well we connect curiosity, competence, and confidence.

Not just content. Not just skills.

But the ability to see a future—and believe you can build it.

The Problem We Saw

STEM workforce gaps are generally viewed as a high school or college issue; students switching majors, dropping out of programs, never entering the field.

We see it differently.

The pipeline problem starts earlier than anyone wants to admit.

The gap doesn’t start when students leave STEM. It starts years earlier, when a nine-year-old decides engineering “isn’t for her” because no one showed her where it leads. When a curious kid completes worksheets but never connects learning to anything real.

By middle school, the window is already closing. Not because students lack ability but because they lack relevance, connection, and a view of who they could be.

That insight changed everything for us.

What We Built

Ingenia Learning exists to connect classrooms to industry before students opt out.

An experiential learning company designed to close the gap.

We’re an experiential learning design company—building programs, tools, and environments that make STEM relevant, applied, and actionable. From hands-on curriculum to digital learning platforms to full STEM lab design, we create experiences that help students see how knowledge becomes impact.

Our work has reached 25,000+ students nationwide, and we partner with schools, informal learning organizations, Fortune 500 companies, and national research networks to build learning that scales.

How We Work

We don’t build in a vacuum. Every solution we create sits at the intersection of three forces:

At the intersection of education, workforce, and research.

Industry

Built for Where Learning Happens

Research

We partner with corporations and subject matter experts across healthcare, manufacturing, engineering, and technology, translating real workforce needs into learning experiences that matter.

Schools, homes, afterschool programs, museums—we design for where learning actually happens.

Our work is developed with support from national research networks, including the National Science Foundation (NSF) and the Institute of Education Sciences (IES), as well as academic research partners, ensuring rigor, measurability, and evidence.

Founder Story

Ingenia Learning was founded by Abi Olukeye, a computer scientist and product designer who spent 15 years leading digital transformation and bringing industrial products to market.

But the company didn’t start in a boardroom. It started at home.

As a mom, Abi wanted to build future-mindedness in her daughters—to help them see themselves as architects of the world around them, not just students completing assignments. She wanted them to know, early, that they could be engineers, innovators, and leaders.

She went looking for tools that connected learning to real opportunity.

She couldn’t find them. So she built them.

Built by a builder.

What started as girl-focused consumer products has evolved into a research-backed learning platform serving schools, districts, and Fortune 500 workforce partners. The company has grown. The audience has expanded. But the core belief hasn’t changed:

Here mission: Help kids see who they can become long before the world suggests otherwise.

Our journey started with a brand called Smart Girls HQ and a product line called Dear Smart Girl—hands-on STEM kits designed to build confidence and curiosity in girls.

That work continues. Dear Smart Girl remains our direct-to-family brand, reaching homes and informal learning spaces nationwide.

As our partnerships with schools, districts, and industry grew, so did our scope. We needed a platform that could serve all learners—across classrooms, community settings, and workforce pipelines.

Ingenia Learning is that platform.

The name Ingenia speaks to what we believe every child already has: ingenuity, creativity, and an innate drive to build.
